CYCLING  
www.trailquest.co.uk If you're into mountain bikes, why not add that competitive edge.  Have a look at the Trail Cyclists Association at  and find out about mountain bike orienteering.
www.eborienteers.org.uk If you're in the Yorkshire area, EBOR run some good 2 hours events, mostly in the North York Moors.  The riding is hard work sometimes, but great fun and you get to meet lots of friendly, like minded people.
www.nymbo.org.uk North Yorkshire Mountain Bike Orienteers - good riding witha mixed bunch including many of the EBOR crowd.
www.rsf.org.uk If you're more into the social side of riding, the Rough Stuff Fellowship organise many rides, with  emphasis on getting off the beaten track to some of the more remote places where you will end up walking the bike rather than riding, you may even have to carry it!
www.tandem-club.org.uk One other aspect of cycling which we enjoy also provides a great socialising opportunity, tandems.  We've had ours for a few years and the Tandem Club organises day, weekend and whole week get togethers, all over the country.
