Keeping your PC free of viruses, spyware and other nasties needn't be hard work, however it is an essential activity. Keep backups of important data such as photos, financial stuff and commercial data if you run a business. Do it, don't neglect it. One day it will go wrong and you'll be glad of the backups. Get a firewall and set it up properly, get an anti-virus product and set it up properley. Do both of these and you'll mostly be OK. Get products to check for and remove spyware and other malware and you should be pretty safe. |
